It’s that time again on April 20, 2024: Kevin Martin aka The Bug is hosting another of his bass-heavy Pressure nights at Berlin’s Gretchen. The British bass veteran regularly attracts legendary producers from the UK to Berlin. This time, African Head Charge will be a special treat on stage. The work of the psychedelic dub pioneers spans more than four decades and, after a 12-year break, they were able to impress once again last year with the album »A Trip To Bolgatanga«.
Bass massages the pit of the stomach
The Bug’s DJ set will move between dub and ragga, dancehall and grime, with support from MC Flowdan – after all, these two have been working together musically for 20 years. The whole thing will be complemented and rounded off by »Bass Explorer« Dillinja, who represents the drum’n’bass of Goldie’s Metalheadz label, and by Gorgonn‘s neo-dub sound, which also ventures into noise and industrial realms. True masters will be at work when it comes to hitting the pit of the stomach with the deepest bass.
