Together with Brian McBride, he formed the duo Stars of the Lid—arguably the most influential ambient project of the modern era. Since the early 1990s, they have shaped the genre like few others. Most recently, Wiltzie released his solo album Eleven Fugues for Sodium Pentothal—another masterpiece.
