Surprise Chef is a soul and funk band from Coburg, Melbourne, Australia, formed in 2017. The band consists of Lachlan Stuckey (guitar), Jethro Curtin (keyboards), Carl Lindeberg (bass), Andrew Congues (drums) and Hudson Whitlock (percussion). Their debut album, ‘All News Is Good News’, was released in 2019 and was praised for its cinematic soul sound. Upcoming albums: ‘Daylight Savings’ (2020), ‘Education & Recreation’ (2022).
