Sugarhill Records is a record label that has been founded by Joe and Sylvia Robinson in 1979. The releases of that Label has been very important for the early Hip hop szene. The single Rapper’s Delight of the Sugar Hill Gang has been the first Hip hop single, that made it in the Top 40 charts and The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five is so far the only Hip hop track, that has been included in the United States’ National Recording Registry.
