PNN Records

PNN Records is a record label founded by Cologne based Gesine Schönrock and Jens-Uwe Beyer in 2013. The letters PNN stand for Popnoname. Popnoname is Jens-Uwe Beyer’s alter ego who releases on his own label including others such as Italic, Firm, Magazine and Kompakt. Gesine Schönrock is not a new member of Kompakt. With the desire to do something on their own, Gesine Schönrock and Jens-Uwe Beyer brought PNN Records together. Because of it, they can now support artist friends. A common style is not essential, however at the same time it is rather important to give recognition to the strengths of the individual artists. »Myr, Matt Karmil, Andrei Old and Popnoname come from various cultures and produce different music. It would make no sense to force a similar style-but certainly it is good to develop a similar taste« says Jen-Uwe Beyer. PNN Records is a young label with a future. And full stop.
