Nikita is an Icelandic fashion label from Reykjavik, founded by Heida Birgisdottir in 2001. It was preceded by the dissatisfaction of Heida Birgisdottir about the manner the in those days hyped brands wanted to fob the girls with clichéd designs and colorways. Heida Birgisdottir who had her own on streetwear, snowboarding and rolling board sport specialized shop in the 2000s, knew what to do and she unceremoniously founded Nikita and took the matter into her own hand. It was her idea that more feminine silhouettes forme the framework, still constructing the clothes from convenient and comfortable materials and especially that cool colors are not exclusively reserved for boys. Heidas aim was to make a collection, that makes a good figure both skating and at night. In the beginning only fleece tops substantiated these ambitions, but soon a balanced line followed, which has been further developed over time and today of course includes dresses, skirts, knitted, chic accessories and a lot of other things that inspire girls.
