Lee Fields

Lee Fields is an American soul singer from Wilson, North Carolina, signed to the record label Truth & Soul. Grown up as one of four children he spend his childhood with singing in church und listening to the music of soul artists likes James Brown, The Temptations, Eddie Floyd, Otis Redding and the classical Memphis Sound of the sixties. Already in the end of the sixties he began his own career as singer and worked together with bands like Kool and the Gang, Sammy Gordon and the Hip-Huggers and Little Royal. He is considered to be the best known unknown in the field of soul and funk. The label Truth & Soul has re-discovered him in the middle of the last decade and put together a band especially for him, The Expressions. The album »My World« was released in 2009, the successor »Faithful Man« in spring 2012.
