Aphex Twin (Richard David James, b. 1971) is an Irish producer of electronic music from Limerick. He grew up in Lanner, Cornwall. Together with Grant Wilson-Claridge Richard D. James founded the record label Rephlex Records in 1991. He releases also under the pseudonyms AFX, Caustic Window and Polygon Window. James is considered to be one of the most important and most influential producers of electronic music worldwide.
