Anette Records

Anette Records is a Berlin based record label founded by Johannes Rögner in 2013 specializing in hip-hop. “Simply hard hippie stuff“ is the philosophy of the ‘Frittenbude’ lead singers one-man show. “All who are involved should see themselves as a part of the whole thing and be 100% satisfied with all decisions and with the music.” Rögner founded the little family in 2013. But the idea for a vinyl-only label had existed for a long time. The record which was supposed to kick-start the label is still dragging its heels, nevertheless others were published, each elaborately designed and limited to between 200 and 300 copies. “The focus is rather on fiddled with hip hop and alternative rap stuff. Undeniably I also like Techno and Punk. I don’t want to rule anything out there, No in fact I would like to count out Ska.” is Johannes Rögner’s explanation for the co-existence of Rap and Hip Hop acts like Ancient Mith, Blindspot and Dot mixed with a dark raver like Bjorn Pend. “At the moment, I look for female artists; there are too many willies on this label.” So much attitude goes without saying for a DIY project like Anette.
