(which he originally released in 2010) is finally sold on vinyl as well. And DIE! gives you proof that Necro’s status has not changed. So first of all, as a fan of the MC and producer from Brooklyn you won’t be surprised by his sixth effort. The topics are still excessive sex and ultra-violence, brought to you in a way too detailed manner. And the beats (all produced by the maestro himself) still sound like they are straight from the 90’s. So if you are looking for electronic influences, modern drums or hipster-rap, DIE! is not your cup of tea. Still, one thing comes as a surprise: how much fun it is, to listen to Necro’s nasty songs that seem to continuously reinvent themselves. On the 17 tracks you will find everything a Necro-supporters ears long for: dark, funky or swinging songs, even a great hymn (like Viva Necro) and all of that enriched with samples from the darkest corners of pop-culture. On top you get Necros brute flow and his unconventional rhyme-schemes. If you like Necro DIE! is a must-have for you. If you don’t know what horrorcore rap is you should at least have a look.
