Sonidos y Modulaciones de la Selva

Astral Industries • 2025

If you follow Marco Shuttle on Instagram, you know that the Berlin-based Italian DJ and producer loves to travel. He is not the kind of artist who flies in for gigs and then flies out again. He explores the countries he travels to and seeks contact with the local culture – always accompanied by a recording device to keep acoustic diaries. He is particularly drawn to the rainforests of South America. These form the basis of his fourth album, »Sonidos y Modulaciones de la Selva«. »The Amazon region of Colombia has been an invaluable source of musical, visual and spiritual inspiration,« Shuttle explains. »Sonidos…« is his attempt to capture the magic of the rainforest – the result of days of field recordings and adventures in the jungle.

Stellenweise erinnert die Atmosphäre an den Zauber der legendären »Heart of the Forest – The Music of the Baka Forest People of Southeast Cameroon«-Aufnahmen von 1993.
