Juan Ramos

Pulse

Bless You • 2024

The 22nd release in the catalogue of Bless You, the little sister of the Kreuzberg label Sound Metaphors, is “Pulse” by Juan Ramos. A regular guest at the popular Cocktail d’Amore party series, the DJ and producer brings a wealth of experience, tact and skill to his productions. This should be in every record case when you need to heat up the dancefloor.

On the A-side, the title track features a driving groove with a hedonistic mix of drum and vocal samples, which together form a finely honed, excessive drumbeat that invites you to dance. With the breakneck BPMs that dominate the club scene today, the B-side is a real exception, clocking in at 115 beats per minute without compromising on power and impact. First brutally industrial, then increasingly playful, “World Melts” completes the impression that Juan Ramos simply seems to know the essence of the parties he is booked for. Expression, movement and lightness.
