There is a sharp edge

yeule have developed into one of the most important pop artists just beyond the mainstream in recent years. Their success recently culminated in their contribution to the soundtrack of the highly acclaimed film ‘I Saw The TV Glow’: For this, yeule covered ‘Anthem For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl’, a song by the band Broken Social Scene; not, of course, without alienating it and dragging it miles into the yeule universe. There’s a lot going on in that. ‘Evangelic Girl Is A Gun’ is no less impressive in testifying to this. Together with the renowned team of producers, including A.G. Cook, Chris Greatti, Mura Masa and Clams Casino, yeule have created something of a goth-trip-hop on »Evangelic Girl Is Gun«. The album will be released on 30 May 2025 on Ninja Tune.
