On April 29, Action Bronson released his eighth studio album Cocodrillo Turbo in digital form on Loma Vista. On October 7, the long player is now scheduled to be released on vinyl. The Opaque Red Vinyl Edition will be exclusively available from HHV Records.
Animals have already served as an inspiration in the past for the rapper from the New York borough of Queens. This time Action Bronson found his inspiration in water. The album title alludes to the largest species of crocodile. “First ideas for the album came to me in the water. I’ve spent a lot of my life in the water, I’m an Aquarius, I was born in the water,” he explains.
With contributions from Conway the Machine, Meyhem Lauren and Roc Marciano, he dives deep into the psychedelic dark side of American culture. In addition to their own productions, The Alchemist, Daringer and Roc Marciano also support him on the machines, capturing the attention of the listeners with their usual extraordinary beats and skilfully selected samples, while Action Bronson even pushes his very own film.
