Souls of Mischief released their song »93 ’til Infinity« and their album of the same name on Jive Records in 1993. 30 years after its release, the four Californian rappers A-Plus, Tajai, Phesto and Opio are touring with it again and will also come to Berlin’s Lido on March 19, 2023. »93 ’til Infinity« is the group’s most successful album and was voted one of the 100 best rap albums by The Source magazine in 1998. In addition to the debut album, the albums »No Man’s Land«, »Focus« and »Trilogy: Conflict, Climax, Resolution« were released in 1995, 1999 and 2000.

Already in primary school, Tajaj, who comes from Oakland, started rhyming with his later bandmate A-Plus. In Junior High School, Tajaj met Phesto, who was later joined by Opio. The four discovered their shared fondness for hip-hop and formed Souls of Mischief. After being dropped from their contract with Jive in 1995, they formed the hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics.
