The Australian label Left Ear Records, which specializes in rediscoveries, will continue to pursue its business idea in 2018. For »Grata Compañia« they selected five pieces of the Spanish project Respuesta Alternativa and had them pressed onto a Vinyl 12". The publication date is March 30 2018. The music was created in 1985 and 1986 in Oviedo on the coast of Asturias. A certain dominance of the synthesizer cannot be denied for the pieces on »Grata Compañia«, but from Balearic to New Age there are also other elements to find here that characterize the music of the 1980s. The Spanish musician Jesús Mª Catalán is the one behind Respuesta Alternativa. For these recordings he also has the help of multi-instrumentalist Julián C. Pérez and other pals. The release is also dedicated to two friends, Fernando Largo and Carlos Redondo. And last but not least, »Amigos« is also the name of the first piece of the record – that alone is worth the money.
