Oddisee releases a new album and plays several concerts in Germany in 2023. Anyone who has seen the New York MC live or is simply there for the Tiny Desk gig knows: Oddisee plumbs the cross-section between hip-hop and jazz. Besides, the man doesn’t flex his Rolex, but his work – Amir Mohamed el Khalifa has contributed to over 20 albums in the past two decades. Most recently, »The Iceberg« was released in 2017 on Mello Music Group.

Obsession and love

Oddisee will bring new material to the gigs in Germany. »To What End« is to be released later this year on Outer Note Label. »I was my own biggest obstacle to making this record,« Oddisee writes in the album announcement. »Through obsession and love, though, I finished the damn thing. So hurry up and come to the concerts!«
