Now that the festival season is coming to an end, the perfect time has come for a continuation of the J.A.W Autumn Series. The next session, which will take place on November 9, 2022 in the Festsaal Kreuzberg, has it all, because there are two live acts on stage.
Alongside jazz drummer, record producer and composer Makaya McCraven, who recently released his new album »In These Times,« Àbáse will also be joined by a full band to present music from the forthcoming follow-up to the 2021 album »Laroyê« in a live setting. Hungarian-born keyboardist Szabolcs Bognár mixes influences from Afrobeat, 60ies jazz, Brazilian pop and folk songs from his homeland with his well-rehearsed international co-musicians, which should be as intense as it is interesting on stage.
Two live concerts and Kutmah as a DJ
The line-up will be completed with a DJ set by beat smith Kutmah, who has already worked with the big names of the Los Angeles scene (Flying Lotus, Shabazz Palaces, Ras G, Thundercat). So the line-up should guarantee a varied and exciting evening.
