Funk enthusiasts and vinyl collectors can rejoice: On June 11, a new edition of Lee Moses’ best-known album, »Time And Place,« will be available only from HHV Records. Originally released in 1971, the nine songs have been remastered for the last reissue in 2016, with liner notes by Sarah Sweeney and interviews with Moses’ sister, among others. After 50 years, the multi-instrumentalist from Atlanta, Georgia with his stirring blend of soul, funk and R’n’B can now finally be rediscovered and hopefully help him to the validity that was unfortunately denied him during his lifetime. Because his dirty guitar riffs and the throaty vocals let even supposedly dead-covered songs like »Hey Joe« or »California Dreaming« shine in a completely new light.
The version exclusively available at HHV Records is pressed on red vinyl and is limited to 300 copies.
