Afrobeat with a British jazz accent
The eight-piece band, whose music is somewhere between jazz and Afrobeat, was actually born out of a very simple idea: Maurice-Grey noticed that modern Afrobeat in England had nothing to do with the original sounds of their homeland.
They immediately found like-minded people who wanted to change this, and in 2018 they released »Abusey Junction«, a song that six years and 56 million YouTube views later has long since made the band an insider tip. Following their debut album »Could We Be More« from 2022, they released a remix album of their debut album on Brownswood Recordings in November 2023, bringing their sound one step further into the present.
