31.05.2024

The Le Guess Who? festival in picturesque Utrecht has been presenting the who’s who of international experimental musicians for years. The line-ups, which have been put together by the artists themselves for several editions, are bursting at the seams – a curated overwhelming, if you will. Every year, you can experience so much incredible music in one weekend in Utrecht that you could still tell your grandchildren about it. From November 7 to 10, 2024, it’s that time again. The line-up for the 2024 edition has now been announced.

What more could you ask for?

Listing the curators alone would actually go beyond the scope of this article. Just a few words about them:
Aroof Aftab is the first Pakistani woman ever to win a Grammy. She has invited the poet aja monet, as well as the Egyptian composer, singer and producer Dina El Wedidi, blue note soul songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello and Aftab Sr. his father, who is also a poet.

Bo Ningen has put together the next line-up. The Japanese psych-rock band itself will perform an alternative soundtrack to Jodorowsky’s masterpiece “The Holy Mountain”. Following the band’s call are GAISTER, Klara Lewis, Nik Colk Void, Pedro Maia and editorial favorites Still House Plants.

The visual artist Crystallmess has also put together her own program. She has invited the great Kim Gordon. With Blackchaine and HiTech (collabo of King Milo, Milf Melly and 47Chop) she also organizes a bit of rap, thank you! RP Boo brings footwork to the cobblestone city.
So.

And now another half page of names could follow. Darkside (Jaar & Harrington) are curating. Mabe Fritti and Touching Bass have invited two more hands full of interesting artists – and alongside all this there is a »General program« with Theo Parrish, among others. Check the full line-up here.
