Herbie Hancock is enthusiastic about him, Chick Corea is a fan, Gilles Peterson too, his last Berlin concert was sold out to the last seat: Tigran Hamasyan makes quite a splash from the piano. On October 20, 2023, he will be playing in Germany again, at the Neuköllner Heimathafen.

Heavy Jazz

Tigran Hamasyan is a trained jazz musician. In the meantime, however, his sound is much more than that. A wild genre mix in which the contemplative and cool of the piano is blasted by post-rock influences, heavy metal excursions and, of course, always the melodic depth from Hamasyan’s homeland, Armenia, whose musical heritage he explores to the depths in all his pieces.
