All about jazz! On 1 and 2 November 2024, the so-called Post-Genre Überjazz Festival will take place at the Hamburg cultural centre Kampnagel. Because everything comes in waves, the first line-up announcement for the late-summer sadness is already making its way through our timelines. »Piano Piano,« says Sven Wunder, writing over jazz neighbours like Moor Mother and Laraaji on the programme poster. Überjazz has existed since 2010. It is one of the most important festivals in Germany, presenting both traditional jazz and modern, cross-genre sounds. Not only classical jazz musicians take to the stage at Überjazz, but also artists from the hip-hop, electro, funk, soul and experimental music scenes.
