On 17 January 2025, the Gretchen Club in Berlin will be the stage for two outstanding artists from the current jazz and beat scene: Silvan Strauss and Reuben James.
Hamburg-based producer and drummer Silvan Strauss is known for his dynamic performances, which are characterised by groovy beats and experimental sounds. In his live performances, he succeeds in seamlessly merging jazz, hip-hop and beatmaking. In 2021, the artist was awarded the Hamburg Jazz Prize. His new album ‘FLUKIN’’ will be released in January on Kabul Fire.

Pianist and singer-songwriter Reuben James from Birmingham brings a unique fusion of jazz, soul, funk and R’n’B to the stage. As a talented improviser, he impresses with his virtuoso piano skills as well as his distinctive voice. He has already worked with legends such as Elton John and Sam Smith, with whom he has also toured.
