Just like last year, Svaneborg Kardyb will be giving another concert at Gretchen this year. The two Danes Jonas Kardyb Nicolaisen (drums) and Nikolaj Svaneborg (keyboards) will come back to the stage in Berlin-Kreuzberg on 18 November 2024 to present their fluorescent jazz.

The occasion of the concert is the presentation of a new album that the jazz duo will release on 18 October 2024 on Gondwana . “Superkilen” is named after a park in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, which is known for its ethnic diversity and has been a symbol of tolerance and unity since it was redesigned by the artist group Superflex in the early 2010s.
It is not yet possible to say with absolute certainty whether the choice of title is also reflected musically. Perhaps it is generally difficult. However, it can be assumed that they have not turned their backs on their melodic, minimalist and very relaxed jazz. The live session of the title track »Superkilen«, recorded in the Karmacrew Studio on the Danish island of Møn, also points to this.
