The Week-End Fest in Cologne is going into its thirteenth year. Since 2011, the festival has been delighting the city with its line-ups every fall, offering an exquisite selection of the hottest niche stars. From October 31 to November 3, 2024, it’s that time again, with artists performing on three stages in the Stadtgarten.

A wonderful weekend

Two female folk singers are at the top of the line-up list: Bridget St. John, one of the many unsung heroines of folk music, is coming to Cologne – a coup for fans and a rare opportunity for discoverers to experience the singer live. Jessica Pratt is her contemporary counterpart. A little guitar, an unmistakable voice, a lot of feeling. Nothing more needs to be said about Oneothrix Point Never in this magazine. Moor Mother brings the energy, Kahil El’ Zabar his spiritual jazz, Laaraji then the mind-expansion finish.
