She can’t hide her pride: Jana Falcon plays at the HHV Store, then here and there and finally, oh yes, at the Panorama Bar. She says this in passing, it’s well deserved. Jana Falcon, born in 1988, maintains a large selection of well-kept records. Mostly from the nineties. From house and disco to dancehall and so on. So it tends to be for the mood, for bouncing. »And the summer«, says Falcon.
Falcon brought the summer with her from Frankfurt. But she actually comes from the provinces. She says Mainz if anyone asks. She grew up in the surrounding area as a Viva child. Later, Robert Johnson became her legal guardian. And someone like that doesn’t say anything critical when the pupil finally decides: »Fuck it, I’m moving to Berlin now.«

That was a few years ago. In between came: Training, first gigs and a debut. However, Jana Falcon has recently focussed on sustainable entertainment on the technics. Her records work overtime in the Paloma Bar, spin in the Fitzroy and have just been to New York. Jana Falcon really does lug around a box of records. Her favourite label is Strictly Rhythm. »Vinyl is luxury for the soul,« she says.
