The Wild Hunt and the Metropole Orkest – two extraordinary music projects that were made for each other. The Dutch orchestra, which has won three Grammys, has been synonymous with outstanding jazz and pop arrangements for over 70 years and has performed on stage with greats such as Céline Dion, Elvis Costello and Ella Fitzgerald. Sebastian Lee Philipp now joins this ranks with his versatile music project Die Wilde Jagd.
Live at the Roadburn Festival 2024 in Tilburg
In April 2024, the result of this collaboration was honoured at the cross-genre Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Poetic songwriting meets hypnotic compositions that create an almost trance-like, cinematic atmosphere through Simon Dobson’s arrangements and the archaic sound of the Celtic carnyx, in the tradition of Die Wilde Jagd.
On 24 January 2025, the monumental commissioned work entitled Lux Tenera – A Rite to Joy will be released by Bureau B. A limited white vinyl edition is available exclusively from HHV Records.
