By far Keith Hudson’s best album. Now finally available on clean vinyl. Perhaps “Playing It Cool” is the blueprint for all subsequent work that uses dub to create melancholy instead of good vibes. “Psycho-acoustic journey” was written about the album somewhere. A good description. Options open up everywhere in this sound, only to be immediately closed again. Densely populated music that, despite the multitude of its tones, finds the vastness of space. Groundbreaking.
