Matthew Bruce is first and foremost a music lover. One who has been in search of new sounds since his youth. The Californian, who lives in Los Angeles, has turned this passion into a label. He channels his collecting mania on Forager Records and has released some fine records in the last two or three years. Especially compilations. To do so, he travels across the United States, sifts through rare private pressings and procures the licences. An enormous amount of hard work that cannot be overestimated. The results are great samplers with outsider folk like »Belong to the Wind« and »Child like Nature« or with obscure AOR and yacht rock like »Sky Dust Drifter« or »Vacation From My Mind«.

Matthew Bruce is also an avid record collector. This was the basis of his YouTube channel CratesLA as well as part of his radio show on NTS. An important part of his record collection is 45s. He will bring some of them to the HHV store in Berlin on June 2, 2023 and play them for you and us from 5 to 9 pm.
